President Donald Trump boarded Air Force One on Friday to head to Central Florida so that he could tour St. Andrew Catholic School and attend an event promoting school choice. Joining him on his presidential jet was someone that may surprise you.
Western Journalism reported that Senator Marco Rubio boarded the jet with Trump, as he planned to visit the school with him.

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and the couple’s children were aboard Air Force One as well. When they arrived in Florida, the state’s Gov. Rick Scott was on the tarmac to meet them. Unfortunately, they were also greeted by some protesters.

Rubio was a bitter rival of Trump’s during the Republican primaries, as he was notorious for making fun of the future president’s “small hands” and spray tan. However, he has bonded with Trump over the fact that they are both supporters of school choice. During his address to Congress on Tuesday, Trump voiced support for charter schools and vouchers.
“I am calling upon members of both parties to pass an education bill that funds school choice for disadvantaged youth, including millions of African-American and Latino children. These families should be free to choose the public, private, charter, magnet, religious or home school that is right for them,” Trump said.
