WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will not be making the dramatic appearance he promised on Tuesday to reveal what was rumored to be an “October Surprise” — information that could damage the candidacy of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

However, The Daily Mail reported that Assange will make some sort announcement “via video link to an event in Berlin on Tuesday morning.”

News that Assange would not be appearing on the balcony of the Ecuadorian embassy in London to release this new information, citing security concerns, came as WikiLeaks shared reports that back in 2010, Clinton discussed using a drone strike to kill Assange.

Assange has been hinting for weeks that he had information that could change the presidential election.

“I don’t want to give it away,” Assange told Fox News in August. “But it’s a variety of documents, from different types of institutions that are associated with the election campaign, some quite unexpected angles, some quite interesting, some even entertaining.”

Last month, he told Fox News the information would be released “reasonably soon.”

Speculation grew that the announcement was coming soon after Donald Trump supporter Roger Stone foreshadowed it in a tweet.

Earlier this year, WikiLeaks leaked 20,000 emails from the Democratic National Committee, some of which showed how DNC officials worked against Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., during the Democratic presidential primaries.

Assange is currently holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy to avoid extradition to Sweden on charges connected to an alleged rape.

On Monday, WikiLeaks tweeted a story claiming that in 2010, while she was secretary of state, Clinton discussed killing Assange.

True Pundit reported Sunday that Clinton asked, “Can’t we just drone this guy” at a Nov. 23, 2010, meeting. The report said those at the meeting initially took the remarks as a joke but said Clinton appeared to be serious.

The authenticity of the story could not be verified as of Monday.
